Meet the Founder and creative director
Renata Sobon
Crochet Passions was founded by a dedicated mother whose love for crochet has developed over many years. Although she had known how to crochet for a long time, it was only a few years ago that she truly embraced it as a hobby. She spent countless hours refining her technique, experimenting with designs, and perfecting every detail of her craft.
What started as a creative outlet quickly became something more. Handmade bags began to fill every corner of her house, each one unique and carefully made. Wanting to capture her creations before she undid and reworked them into new designs, she started sharing her journey on TikTok. She documented her work and connected with others who shared her passion.
With encouragement from her family, she eventually decided to offer her pieces to others. From that moment, Crochet Passions was born.
Focused on quality, she always looks for the best materials. In early 2026, she travelled to Poland to meet with Ula from Poliyarn. There, she explored the craftsmanship behind their cords and carefully chose materials for her own creations. Seeing how these high-quality cords are made inspired her to bring them to the UK not just for her own work, but to support and inspire others looking to grow in their own crochet journeys.
Today, Crochet Passions is more than just a brand. It reflects creativity, dedication, and a love for handmade design, with a mission to share that passion with others.
